Aquamarine Meaning + Healing Properties
Aquamarine in Latin is aqua marina, which means “seawater,” and it’s first known uses in history date back to the times of Ancient Greece, 300 B.C., comparing its energies to the sea and lore of mermaids and other creatures in the depths of the oceans. It has been used as a good luck talisman for centuries and brings a gentle cleansing, soothing energy to those who work with the crystal. Aquamarine is a type of Beryl (beryllium aluminum silicate) crystal that can be found in colors that range from light blue to a blue-green.
If you’ve been feeling like you’re not sure where to turn and it feels as though your life has come to a complete stop, working with aquamarine will draw in inspiration and find solutions to resolve problems. While incorporating aquamarine into meditation or spiritual practice, it will open the throat chakra to assist in mediumship and spiritual communication with angels and/or spirit guides. Meditating with the crystal or place it in a relaxing bath will quiet negative mind chatter, lift the veil of your spiritual gifts/intuitive abilities, and things that have previously been hidden from your perception will come to the surface.
